• Read over form to become familiar with the
questions you will be asking
• Seat client and properly drape
• Drape client's hair
• Remove jewelry
• Recline client
• Apply warm cleanser

Determine Skin Type
• Examine with magnifying lamp
• Observe visible pores
– Obvious pores = oily skin areas
– Lack of pores = dry or alipidic skin
(skin lacking in it's own fatty acids which are usually insoluable
in water; functions include energy storage and is a structural
component of the cell membrane)
