Nu Skin Enterprises ( NUS - news - people ) distributes premium
cosmetics, personal care products and nutritional supplements. Nu
Skin, which uses independent representatives for most of its sales,
says its revenue tends to increase during recessions because it can
attract more qualified salespeople.
Nu Skin gets 72% of revenue from Asia. But its best growth
opportunities are in North America (19%) and Europe (9%), where
sales have shown respective gains of 18% and 42% over the past 12
months.
The stock trades at 15 times trailing earnings, a 15% discount to the
three-year average. Growth is expected to resume in the second half,
with per-share earnings forecast to increase 16% for full-year 2009 and
14% for full-year 2010. Nu Skin is a Buy.
