and forces of oppression

Industrial Revolution, Age of Imperialism,
WWI and WWI, the Cold War, even current
events
II. Class Information
My educational philosophy
– Character education is just as important as
learning the content
– Must develop values, ethics, and morals
– End goal is to produce responsible citizens to
ensure the legacy of this nation in perpetuity
III. Parental Involvement
Monitoring their assignments
– http://teachers.ausd.net/classlink/ahs
– Go to “Mr. Wang” “Modern World History”
Monitoring their progress
– Every student has a grade sheet that lists
their assignments and what grades they
received for them
– You signed it the first day of school
IV. Survival Tips
How to avoid being tardy:
– Pick out the next day’s outfit
the night before
– Pack backpack the night
before and verify HW for
each subject is physically in
there
IV. Survival Tips
How to make sure they’ll
do their best:
– Eat breakfast
– Study for tests while the
sun is still out and NOT in
bed
– Do the hard homework
FIRST, save the easy ones
for later
– Make daily agendas for
time management
– Do NOT take away positive
reinforcement (Xbox,
computer, etc.)
