WEST HIGH SCHOOL
Regular and Advanced Courses
Any social studies class is designed to
prepare students for college work.
However, for students looking to
challenge and further develop the study
skills necessary to excel in college,
advanced courses are recommended.

Students
will study current local, national,
and international events.

A political and diplomatic characterplaying, virtual simulation

Advanced Placement Courses
AP courses prepare students for the
rigor of college.
Students may earn college credit
depending on test scores and their
college selection.

Students

exploration to present-day.
U.S. Government
Students
will learn the concepts of our
national, state, and local governments.
Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment courses allow students
to earn college and West High credit.
Students are exposed to college rigor,
while still having high school support.
Dual Enrollment
There are no tuition or book charges,
which will save students money when
they enter college.
These credits transfer to all state
colleges.
