How does the wind
industry impact me as
a Right-of-Way Agent?
There is no national
electric grid.
There are ten regional
grids;
hundreds of local grids;
thousands of
distribution grids in the
US.
Additionally,
There are ten regional
grids; and hundreds of
distribution grids in
Canada.
For wind energy to make a
meaningful contribution to
the North American demand
for electricity, there must be
a fully functioning national
transmission grid.
The electric industry
will need 40,000 miles
of transmission lines.
That’s
where YOU
come into
the wind
industry!
Wind does NOT replace other forms
of power.
Why do we need wind power?
In 1941, my Dad’s
family heard about
the attack on Pearl
Harbor over the
radio.
I watched world history unfold on the
television.
In the
1960’s
over 90%
of all U.S.
homes
had a TV
set in
them
My
children
watch
World
History on
MULTIPLE
TV’s!
Since 2006, there have been more
Televisions in the average American
home than there are people!
I watch the World Cup on a flat panel TV;
sip lemonade with ice in it;
While working on my laptop computer;
in a house with over 80 lights in it.
Did Caesar have it so well?
Our standard of living will increase;
Our demand for power will increase;
Your chance to make money will increase.
