Promotion Policy
10th Grade
• Students must have 6.0 total credits to be promoted to 10th grade.
11th Grade
• Students must have 12.0 total credits to be promoted to 11th grade.

Grades are weighted 1.15 (1.29 for AP!)

RANK IN CLASS
• Required graduation courses, up to a maximum of 26
credits, taken in grades 9 to 12 through the end of the 7th
semester will be used to calculate class rank.
• Elective courses that produce the highest weighted grade
will be used to calculate rank.
• Class rank will be based upon a weighted grade average
Weighted Grade Averages
• WGPA are determined by multiplying each semester grade of a
ranked course by a rank factor and computing an average.

HONOR GRADUATES
• Students achieving high standards of academic excellence shall
be recognized at the graduation ceremony as honor graduates
based on the following criteria:
• Completion of the Foundations High School Program with an
Endorsement and/or the Distinguished Level of Achievement
• Everything completed through the end of the 1st semester of your
senior year.
• Overall Weighted grade average of a 90 or above

• Summa Cum Laude – 100+
• Magna Cum Laude – 95 -99
• Cum Laude – 90 -94
COLLEGE CREDIT
OPPORTUNITIES
• Take AP classes and AP tests at the end of the year to earn college
credit
• Take dual credit classes (watch for details beginning December 2015
and need to apply by early spring for next school year)
