Help students make good choices
Reduced schedule changes
Meet teachers
To date 304 requests since the schedule
change process began in October
75% of those were not recommended for the
course in the first place
Several students requested more than one
change/sometimes at different times during
the year
90% of these changes were done but not in
an ideal way (classes at
capacity/schedules/lunch)
Why can’t you just make room if you know
these changes are coming?

MARCH
th
15
is the deadline
(no exceptions)
Think about your child’s schedule
There are ONLY 24 hours in a day…they can only do so much and they need
7 of those for sleep
We do not encourage more than 4 AP/Honors classes at a time
Rising seniors think about college applications
Rising seniors think about college admissions requirements too (math,
world lang, fine art)
Take teacher/counselor recommendations seriously…we are all looking out
for what is best for the student
It is easy to go up a level in a class than down
You know your child the best…think about them/their strengths and
weakness
7:00 pm Session 1 (5 total sessions…see the
classes you want to see)
2 New courses for 2013-14: Calculus & Trig/Prob

Soak it all up
Ask questions
Complete the survey
