Norway Graduation Requirements
Students must earn 24-1/2 credits during
their 9th to 12th grade years to graduate.
If the following classes are taken in 8th Grade
and passed, the student will earn credit
toward their MMC completion, but the
credits will not count toward their 24-1/2
needed to graduate:
Algebra, Earth Science and Spanish I
• No Additional Requirements beyond the
Michigan Merit Curriculum
• Once the student has met the MMC
requirements, the student may choose
their course selection
• Parents are encouraged to go to
careercruising.com with the student to aid
in course selection, based on the student
career goals.

When deciding on what electives to take,
consider the following:
• What classes would be best for the
student’s career goals
• What classes should be taken to meet the
admission requirements for the chosen
college (go to the college web site to find
this information)








Must retake classes if you fail
No extra credit/study guides
No test retakes/late work accepted
Grading policies (homework vs tests)
Must READ the textbook
Homework nightly in most classes (bell to
bell)
