As per state policy, beginning in the 2007-2008 school year, students who earn high
school credit during the middle school may retake high school courses that earned
grades of C, D or F. This forgiveness policy must allow the replacement of the grade
with a grade of “C” or higher, earned subsequently in the same course or comparable
course.

Note: The national Collegiate Athletic Association does not recognize senior high
courses taken in a grade below 9th to meet eligibility requirements to participate in
college athletics
