On 1939 in Germany invades Poland. England and France reacts to
that action by declaring war on Germany. All of this commotion the started the
horrible World War 2.
In April 1940 Germany invades Norway and Denmark and soon they will
conquer the two countries.
Germany began to bomb Britain. Also in the pacific Japanese troops
began to claim the French colony of Indochina. The United States responds to the
Japanese by cutting off oil exports to Japan.
On this tragic event that will be engraved in our minds forever Japan
bombed pearl harbor on December 1941. The bombing of pearl caused 21 US
ships to be sunken or damaged, 188 aircrafts to be destroyed, and worst of all,
2,403 people were killed. Lets wish that a horrible tragedy like this will never
happen again.
On September 1943 Italy surrenders however German troops continues
to fight the allies in Italy and they take Rome.
Japan’s navy is defeated near the Philippines. In the Pacific began the
liberation on the Philippines. In Europe, British and Greek troops liberate the
Athens.
German forces launch a surprise attack in the Ardennes region of
Belgium, beginning the Battle of the Bulge (so called because the German
drive put a “bulge” in the Allied battle line).
On specifically May 7th Germany surrendered because the other troops on
the other side killed their leader, Hitler
Atomic bombs are dropped on Hiroshima (August 6) and Nagasaki
(August 9). Japan surrenders (August 14). At least 100,000 people died in the
atomic bombings.
Japanese officials sign the surrendered document on the
U.S.S. Missouri in Tokyo Harbor. All of this was the end of World War 2. Peace
was back into the world.
