as punishment for
attacking other
countries

collapsed and
prices soared!

soviets divided Germany
 West Germany was a democracy
(Americans, British, and French)
 East Germany was communist (Soviet
Union)
 The Berlin wall separated these 2 cities of
East and West Berlin
 Became known as the WALL OF SHAME

scrambling over the
wall
 Crowds tore at the wall
and took it apart block
