Golgi Bodies function and form
there structures in most of the
eukaryotic cells.
The Golgi Body likes to hang out
near the top of a cell.
The Golgi Body secretes the wastes
out of a cell.
Since it is so big there are only one
Golgi Body per cell.

Nuclear Pore
These Pores are found
in almost all types of
cells, specifically the
eukaryotic cell.
Nuclear pore complexes allow
the transport of water-soluble
molecules across the nuclear
envelope.
There are about
2000 Nuclear Pores
surrounding the
Nuclear Envelope!
Can typically be seen
carrying RNA
Favorite Hang Out Spot
The Nuclear Pores can be found on the nuclear envelope, which is the
double membrane surrounding the eukaryotic cell nucleus.
Austin Briffa, P5
Favorite hang out spot: towards the outside of
the
cell. It seperates the interior of a cell from the
outside of a cell.
Hobbies: anchoring the cytoskeloten to
provide shape to the cell, substances use it to
move across through diffusion, and serve as the
attachment surface for several extracellular
structures.
Extracurricular activities: There is a cell membrane is every type of cell including
plant cells, animal cells, prokaryotic cells and etc.
Siblings: There is only one cell membrane found in a cell.

the nucleus and cytoplasm
from meeting. Also, it is in
charge of the substances that
come in and out of the
nucleus.
Extracurricular Activities:
Found in all animal and plant
cells.
Siblings: It does not have any
siblings.

Period 5
It is usually seen
in the middle of the cell yet doesn’t
have a specific spot it is in.
Favorite Hang-Out Spot:
Extracurricular Activities:
The vacuole is found
in all plant and
animal cells.
In an Animal cell there is one
or more smaller vacuoles. Yet in a
Plant cell, there is one large vacuole,
usually taking up about 90% of the
cell.
Siblings:
The vacuole exports materials that can
be harmful or that are unwanted in the cell. It
contains water for plant cells. Also it contains
waste products as well as removes them.
Basically, maintaining the fluids, storing food,
and it enables the cell to have/change structure.
Hobbies:
Natalia Morales
Period 5
Nucleoplasm
Favorite Hang-out spot: Nucleoplasm is found
around the middle of the cell, around the
nucleus.
Hobbies: It just acts as a fluid/medium which
many substances are dissolved in it, such as
nucleotides, for replication of DNA & enzymes,
direct activities that take place in the nucleus.
It also contains & carries some important
structure inside it.
Extracurricular Activities: Nucleoplasm is found in all eukaryotic cells which are cells
that have a nucleus.
Siblings: There is only one type of nucleoplasm but there are many different types of
plasm in a eukaryotic cell.

CHROMOSOME
Favorite Hang-Out Spot: Chromosomes are visible in the cell’s nucleus—
with a powerful microscope
Hobbies: Each chromosome has a constriction point called the
centromere, which divides the chromosome into two sections, or
“arms.” The short arm of the chromosome is labeled the “p arm.”
The long arm of the chromosome is labeled the “q arm.” The
location of the centromere on each chromosome gives the
chromosome its characteristic shape, and can be used to help
describe the location of specific genes.
Extracurricular Activities: Found in all kind of cells
including plant cells, and animal cells
Siblings: There are 46 in each human body cell, but the
number varies depending on the organism.

by organism and tissue type
Extracurricular Activities:
Found in most eukaryotic cells
Kian Jackson
Period 5
Hobbies:
•generate most of the cell's supply
of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), for use as
chemical energy
•Involved in signaling, cellular
differentiation, cell death, as well as the
control of the cell cycle and cell growth
•May play a role in the aging process
Favorite Hang-out spot: the nucleus can be found in the
middle of every cell.
Hobbies:
• stores the cell’s hereditary material/DNA, the
information stores in the DNA directs the activities of the
cell.
• Also the nucleus coordinates the cell’s activities, which
includes growth, intermediary, metabolism, protein
synthesis, and reproduction.
Extracurricular activities: the nucleus in found in every
single cell, plant or animal.
Siblings: Generally there is only ONE nucleus per cell.

Microfilaments
• This structure can be found anywhere in the
cytoplasm of a cell, but is usually found near the
edges
• The main function is to keep the structure of a cell
• The structure also provides mechanical support
• This can be found only in Eukaryotic cells, whether
animal or plant
Microfilaments-Tvizer
Vesicle
Vesicle
Favorite Hang-Out Spot: Near the edge of the cell
Hobbies: Transporting and storing molecules throughout the cell
Extracurricular Activities: Found in Eukaryotic cells (animal and plants)
Siblings: Several vesicles can be found in one cell
Kylie Mulhall, Period 5
Hobbies: Chloroplast captures light to conserve
energy through a process called photosynthesis.
Siblings: There are typically 10 to 100
chloroplasts per cell.
Favorite hangouts: You can find Chloroplast
scattered through the cytoplasm.

Found near the outside of the cell.
Helps the cell sense chemicals and temperatures
outside the cell.
Helps the cell move around.
Found in bacterial cells.
Some cells may only have one flagellum, and some
have several flagella, the amount of flagella depends on
the cell.

ROUGH ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM
BY: JEREMY WAI
5 TH P E R I O D
FAVORITE HANG-OUT SPOT
The Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum is located around the nucleus, which is around the
center of the cell, and they are attached to one another.
HOOBIES
Rough ER is a membrane
that creates a network of
channels throughout the
cytoplasm.
Attachment of ribosomes
to the membrane gives a
rough appearance
Synthesis of proteins to be
secreted, sent
to lysosomes or plasma
membrane
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum is found in both the animal cell and the plant cell.
Animal
Cell
Plant Cell
SIBLINGS
There are couple Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum in each cell (varies), and there are
many ribosomes on it (That’s what gives Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum its name.
The ribosomes make the surface rough.) . There are also parts called ER Lumen,
Cisternae, transport vesicle, and transitional ER.
The Cell Wall’s likes to hangout
around the very outside of the plant cell.
The Cell Wall keeps the Plants Shape and protect
the cell.
The Cell Wall is only found in plant
cells.
The Cell Wall doesn’t have any duplicates. Its one of
a kind in its own cell. There is only one Cell Wall in the cell.

Microtubules
•
•
•
•
•
•
Microtubules are hollow tubes made of globular proteins.
they are found in cilia, flagella, and centrioles, which are mostly located near the edges of
the cell
They have a role in determining cell structure as part of the cytoskeleton.
There are many microtubules in the cell, which help to form the aforementioned structures
These are found in all plant and animal cells, as they need cytoskeletons to preserve their
form, like vertebrates need a skeleton.
Microtubules also form spindle fibers, which aid in the process of cell division.
Centriole
Hobbies: They like to help the cell divide during
mitosis and meiosis, otherwise they cannot be
seen clearly. During cell division you can see two
pairs of them. One pair moves to the opposite side
of the nucleus and they both send out meiotic
spindles. The meiotic spindles release threads that
connect to the chromosomes. The threads
released help split and pull the chromosomes
towards each pair of centrioles and when the
whole cell splits apart the chromosomes begin to
unravel and a new nuclear pocket begins to
appear.
Favorite Hang-Out Spot: They are located in the
centrosome, which is in the cytoplasm near the
nucleus.
Siblings: Usually two pairs during cell division.
Generally one pair during Interphase.
Extracurricular Activities: All Animal cells
