1944, ALLIES are
ready to open a
second front in Europe.

The ALLIES would
choose June 6, 1944 to
begin the operation.

D-Day June 6, 1944 ---- “Day of Days”
ALLIED paratroopers
were dropped behind
enemy lines.
In the Dawn, 176,000
troops were carries by
boat to the shores of
Normandy.
Germans occupied the
beach and hills.
Machine gun fire and
underwater mines greeted
the ALLIES.
Slow crawl through the
enemy forces.
Omaha Beach
The ALLIES suffered great
losses.
Broke through German
forces!!
Moved towards Paris to end
Hitler’s reign.
By August 25th, ALLIES had
retaken Paris.
