• Take out your maps, and for each year, use a
different color to label which countries Hitler
conquered and when he conquered them
• 1939: Czechoslovakia(before World War II)

FRANCE: 1940
1. German use a blitzkrieg strategy to get around the
Maginot Line and use a pincer movement to force the
French out at Dunkirk
a. Blitzkrieg: “Lightning War” strategy in which you attack
quickly with everything you got
b. Maginot Line: French defensive line on the border of
France
c. Dunkirk: City in Northern France where the French and
British evacuated their armies across the English Channel

• Right side and center of the room= Germany
• Paper Balls= Bombs
• Britain has to defend the bin for two minutes
• Germany is allowed to have three people to
bring back paper balls
