Understanding Artificial Intelligence
• People currently control the planet, not because we’re the
strongest, fastest or biggest, but because we’re the
smartest. If we’re no longer the smartest, are we assured
to remain in control?
• Because AI has the potential to become more intelligent
than any human, we have no way of predicting how it will
behave?

Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates, Elon Musk
• Artificial Intelligence, disguised as helpful digital assistants
and self-driving vehicles, is gaining a foothold, and it could
one day spell the end for mankind.
• Once machines reach a critical stage of being able to evolve
themselves we cannot predict whether their goals will be
the same as ours.
• The world-renowned professor has warned robots could
evolve faster than humans and their goals will be
unpredictable.

Stuxnet
• Recognised as worlds first digital weapon.
• Dropped into Iranian “proximity” in 2009.
• Decimated Natanz uranium enrichment facility by
destroying centrifuges
• And then it escaped….

Current Artificial Intelligence Approach
• We use AI algorithms to process big data.
• AI is currently positioned to learn from your data and not
from you.
• Data as the only source of knowledge?
• What about the knowledge in experience?
• The typical bottleneck in the organization…

A Healthy Attitude to Artificial Intelligence
We believe our world suffers from an “access” problem rather than
just a “new knowledge” problem. By “access” we mean access to
the key resource of the human expert. The value challenge is as
follows: “Could we make the world a better place by using
technology to create unlimited access to our experts?” We are
now at the stage where we can achieve this. We’re talking about
"digitizing” or “robotizing” our human experts.

Capturing Human Expertise in AI
• Expertise has an inherent bias that is not readily found in
data.
• Expertise and the subconscious.
• If expertise were definable then it would no longer be
expertise and the expert would no longer be an expert

• Building technology that allows us to clone human
expertise and then to make this expertise available with
unlimited scalability.
• Our top human experts available anywhere anytime.

Positioning AI for the Future
• AI to learn from you, to mimic you, the way you treat
customers, the way you make decisions.
• AI to allow you to do more, influence more.
• AI as a risk mitigation technology.
