Course Description
CS370 introduces students to basic concepts
and methods of artificial intelligence from a
computer science perspective, including
knowledge representation methods and
techniques, Problem solving, structures and
strategies for state space search and Heuristic
search techniques.
Course Objectives
 Learn about the widely applied techniques of logical
representation languages and search techniques for problem
solving.
 Familiarity with different applications of AI such as
Robotics, Pattern Recognition, expert systems.
 Understand the principles and mechanisms underlying
various kinds of intelligent processes
 Have an awareness of the philosophical issues that arise
within Artificial Intelligence
 Have an awareness of key issues in Artificial Intelligence
and Computer Science that will continue to challenge
researchers in the future.

Attendance Policies
Students that regularly come to class 10
minutes late will be marked absent.
Students that are regularly absent will be given
DN warnings. (See DN Warning Flyer).

 Late assignments will not be accepted.
 All assignments must be completed individually by each
student
 There will be no Make up exam or quiz
