The Map of Niagara Falls
This is the map of Niagara falls in New York. Niagara Falls is in Canada and
New York.
Niagara Falls History
The Park became a national park on
April 30th, 1885 , when it signed into
law by Governor Hill. The Park
officially opened on July 15th , 1885.
How it was formed
It was formed by glaciers in the last ice
age. It began to form the large
freshwater lakes now known as the
Great Lakes. The water in Lake Erie ran
downhill toward Lake Ontario, forming
a river.
Types of rocks
The first layer has a shale . The second
more softer has sandstone. The third
is another Shale. The forth has some
limestone , and the fifth has another
shale. These are the layers of the rocks
in Niagara falls.
Special Landforms
Some landforms are mountains. They
are all part of the Appalachian
mountains. They run throughout the
east coast area.
How the land is changing
The water is eroding the rock as it goes
over the falls.
Environmental issues
Some issues are the waste of plastic
water bottles. Some people are not
throwing them in the right spot.
Sewage is also a problem. It comes
from the nearby towns. A lot of
chemicals are dumped there to. That
is one of the biggest issues.
Technology
Some forms of technology at Niagara
are Video on Demand and
Permanently Installed Audio Visual .
These are ways to locate things around
Niagara falls.
