Why global south more vulnerable?
• What is global south??
• 20% of the population are responsible for 80% of the
accumulated carbon build-up in the atmosphere.
• the vast majority of population growth is taking place
in developing countries where average consumption
and GHG emission rates are far lower
• Blame to global south whereas North is mostly
responsible

• Women being most vulnerable to bear the
cost of Climate change (life saving skills during
calamities, collector for basic supply to family,
migration, spousal migration- HIV)

change agenda
Women’s bodies should not be the vehicle for
climate change solutions, but concern for the
impact of climate change on women should
prompt effective as well as rights- respecting
efforts to control greenhouse gas emissions
(GHGE).
