A comprehensive strategy, policy and effective tools to prepare for earthquakes
and other hazards and to mitigate their consequences in education sector .
Enhance national capacities for the development and implementation of a
countrywide framework for disaster risk preparedness, management and
mitigation in Education Sector
Develop Education Sector Specific set of operational standards and procedures
for DRM
The estimated budget is USD 3.0 million for a three year period
Establishment of Disaster Management Structures at the national and
local level and develop Risk Sensitive Land Use Plan for
Kathmandu Valley (KVTDC, government/EMI)
