Habitat
The Snow Leopard’s habitat is spread across Asia but
is disturbed in all 12 countries. The snow leopard
lives in the high ragged mountains, some reaching
to 3,000-4,500 M
Diet
Snow Leopard’s mainly eat Mountain sheep and
Mountain Goats that share it’s habitat, although they
have been know to feast upon birds and hares that
also share its habitat.
Looks
Living in the snowy mountains means that the snow
leopard would have to have camouflage and it does,
with white and brown fur in winter and yellow-brown
fur in the summer they are hidden all year. Their
paws are massive so that they can walk on the snow
and spread their weight across the ground.
Danger
Snow leopards are Endangered due to:
.loss of prey
.poaching
.contact with humans
.illegal trade in body parts (fur coats, medicine –bones
claws meat and organs.climate change –methane gas, coal burning)
