Thale Noi is the northernmost part of
the Songkhla Lake system, covering
about 28 square kilometers
Two main subdistricts – Thale Noi &
Panang Tung, both in Khuan Kanoon
District, Phattalung Province
Population approx. 20,000

Objectives
•
1.To promote the community’s learning
about climate change and its impacts;
2.To brainstorm about approaches for
climate change adaptation; and
3.To promote collaboration between the
Subdistrict Organization and the
community in coping with CCA.

1. Established the working group for CCA
in the area and tried to understand
about the objectives and activities

2. Prepared the visuals for the community’s
learning such as:
- The video clips about the impacts of
climate change; and
- The roll-up pictures about the causes of
global warming and climate change.

3. Formed the student group in order to
promote the climate change learning in
schools and the community.

4. Collected the folk wisdoms about the
countermeasures with the natural disasters
in the past.

members about the CCA operation plan.

What’s next . . .
• To promote learning of the people in the five
villages and two schools about the climate
change and adaptation.
• To coordinate with all stakeholders to
integrate the operation planning about the
CCA within the area.
• To operate the plan and follow up with the
working group and the people.
