* Self-contained special education program which provides support for
students who require specialized teaching techniques, individualized
instruction and small class placement as recommended by the IEP team.
* Designed for students who need direct, specialized instruction in at least
one of the following areas: academic/cognitive, communication/language,
social/emotional, motor, and/or adaptive skills.
* IEP goals and objectives are the main focus.
* Students participate in general education through mainstreaming and
integration as deemed appropriate by the IEP team.
* Is staffed at a low student to staff ratio in order to provide the level of
support needed to address individualized needs
