The Impact of a Network
Following this model the impact of a network is
a function of three things:
Change in Member Outcomes
Change in Group Outcomes
Change in External Outcomes
Group Work
• Work in groups of three at your tables.
• Spend 20 minutes brainstorming changes – at
each of the three levels – that we would like to
see as a result of SEA Change COP activities.
• Write key words or short phrases on index cards
that describe the most important changes at each
level:
– Member = Blue Cards
– Group = Yellow Cards
– External = Green Cards
Network Activities
• To achieve our full impact, network activities
must be tailored to generate value at each of
these three levels:
Activities to foster change in members
Activities to foster change in the group
Activities to foster external change

Visions and Actions
• In your threes, assign one person to each level
– Member, Group, External.
• Using the brainstorm cards, develop a VISION
for the change(s) we would like to see at your
level.
