DISSECTION TEST
PRACTICE TEST
• The test is normally called a
dissection “practical”. This is
how most dissection tests are
given!
• Pans of dissected rats are
situated around the lab in
strategic locations.
• Each rat will have two-three
numbered pins stuck in various
structures.
• A question card will
accompany the rat and the
pins.
• You MUST be sure to read the
question card as you look at
the pins.
PRACTICE TEST
• On some tests there will
also be a written portion.
• You will be given a word
bank to assist you.
• The photos in this
practice test may or may
not have pins in the rat
but may simply use an
arrow like in this pig
example.
