Wellness and Weight Management
• Your weight is determined by height, age
and gender
• Your weight may not be ideal for someone
else
• Your ideal weight is a range, not a single
number
• Overall fitness is measured by nutrition,
avoiding risks, and overall fitness, not just
weight
Body Mass Index
• BMI – a measure of weight based on
comparing body weight to height

cause health risks
• If too thin- sleeping problems, irritability
fatigue, dry skin
