What is Pan-Africanism?
Movement
dedicated to
establishing
independence for Africa
nations
And unity for black
throughout the world
Originated
with
conferences in London
1900, 1919, 1921, 1923
First
truly
intergovernmental
conference held in 1958
(Ghana)
Bob Marley and Pan-African
Influenced
by Marcus Garvey and
Haile Selassie
Garvey believed that blacks
wanted their own country, and
culture to be respected, as well as
freedom.

His music and influence was seen in
Bulgaria, North Africa, Zimbabwe
and other countries.

When you are finished, team up with one person only, or
work by yourself to create a poem/rap/ or song about
something your are passionate about, you want
changed in the world.
Song/Rap: At least one stanza and one chorus (10
lines total
Poem: Format to be decided by teacher

or African Nationalism.
