Overload Principle
O The basis for fitness enhancement
O To increase fitness, a person must perform
more work than s/he is generally
accustomed to doing.
Muscular Strength
O The amount of weight that you can lift
O Muscle soreness is normal when lifting.
Fitness
O As you exercise your body composition
improves due to buring fat and increasing
muscle mass.
O To improve fitness you should exercise
within your target heart rate zone.
O The number of times your heart beats per
minute is your Heart Rate.
O Exercise helps prevent diseases such as
obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
Types of Sports
O A Team sport is a sport in which you
participate as part of a team.
