Tuberculosis
By Hardeep Nota
and Shaleen Khan
What is Tuberculosis?
Tuberculosis is also known as
TB
It’s a contagious bacterial
infection spread through the
air
TB
It mostly often strikes:
children and elderly adults
It kills more than 2 million
people per year.
What are the symptoms?
in the lungs:
a bad cough that lasts longer than 2 weeks
pain in the chest
Other symptoms of TB:
coughing up blood
weakness
weight loss
no appetite
chills
fever
sweating at night
How can you get
tested?
A TB skin test is the only way to
find out if you have TB
infection.
You should get tested for TB if:
You have spent time with a
person with infectious TB
You have HIV infection or
another condition that puts you
at high risk for TB disease
During the summer school we designed our project
pages, and this is what we have done so far…
Thank you for watching
our presentation, we
hope you enjoyed it and
learnt a little more on
Tuberculosis.
