Early Life
• Louis Pasteur was born on Dec. 27,1822
• He was born in Dole, Jura, Franche-Comte known as
france.
Pasteur early research consisted of chemical
studies of the tartrates , in which he discovered
(1867-89) molecular dissymmetry.
He then began working on fermentation.
Greatest Accomplishment

Pasteur was a chemist founder of physio chemistry.
Louis received his degree at Besancon.
In order to devote himself to science went to Paris
to study under Dumas, Balard, and Biot.
He became the director of the Pasteur Institute.
He developed the pasteurization process which
removed harmful diseases from mike using heat.
Louis Pasteur demonstrated that life comes
only from life .
His discovery that most infectious are caused by
germ, known as the “germ theory of disease.
He discovered that weakened forms of
a microbe could be used as an
immunization against more virulent
of the microbe.
