Uses nicotine in various strengths

but not harmless)

Uses a very sticky flavored tobacco (shisha) which
contains nicotine
Has more carcinogens than cigarettes (possibly more
harmful – 1 puff has 12 X more smoke than a cigarette).
Toxic chemicals are not filtered out by the water.
The charcoal used to heat tobacco in the hookah
increases the health risks by producing smoke that
contains high levels of carbon monoxide, metals, and
cancer-causing chemicals. (4 X more per 45 mins.)
Longer periods of exposure
Risk of infectious disease when sharing (Herpes,flu,etc.)
Risk of oral cancer and periodontal disease
