Mission Statement
Texas Center for Infectious Disease
The mission of the Texas Center for Infectious Disease
(TCID) is to provide high quality medical care, research,
and professional education of providers for patients with
tuberculosis (TB), and other related infectious,
contagious diseases. Health care and diagnostic services
will be provided to all referred patients:
• Across the age spectrum, except for pediatrics.
• As part of the Department of State Health Services
system supporting preventative and treatment services.
• Without regard to the ability to pay or other lawfully
protected classification.
