Teach tracks are for words and notes only – don’t worry about interp and timing at that stage.
Put dots down before you feel ready – to test yourself. Pick them up only for the bits you get wrong, then put them
down again
Use section practices to cement words/notes, check each other if possible
Submit audition tracks as soon as possible – remember, there may be a need to refine so leave plenty of time before
deadline
After your audition track pass, DO NOT USE teach tracks again
Interpretation will be finalised after audition passes
All remaining learning is on the risers, with re-enforcement using live recordings and specific items of practice for
offline
