Why do a community health
needs assessment?
Better understanding of needs leads to more informed
decision making
Proactively planning and addressing issues before these
issues become unmanageable
Target our efforts to obtain needed resources
Establish priorities and focus
Service to community by increasing awareness
Ultimately—a healthier community!
