• Adoption of the MARC 21 classification and authority
formats for the representation of the DDC in the new
Editorial Support System (ESS)
• Change in the DDC distribution format from ESS XML to
MARCXML
• Conversion of data format in the Pansoft translation
support software to MARCXML
• Changes in the MARC 21 formats

• Added to MARC 21 in Update No. 9 (October 2008)
