Objective:The point is to try to change the
amount of a number.
Meaning: expressing a number to the nearest
millions,thousand and hundred & so on
The way of doing it with a poem
Find your number
 Look next door
 4 or less just ignore
 5 or more add 1 more

Round to the nearest Ten hundred Thousand
2,346,421 = 2,350,000
It was turned into 2,350,000 because every time
you are rounding a number and the left over
numbers and the digit you used to round it has
to turn into zeros
1.Example: Round the underline digit
4,987,097,654 = 4,990,000,000
2.Example: Round to the tens place
230,934,105 = 230,934,110
You could also do the rounding to the nearest
dollar or cent and you could also use the 4
step poem
1.Example: Round to the nearest dollar
$2.61 = $3.00
2.Example: round to the nearest cent
$0.39 = $0.40
