Compose and Decompose
By: Cheyenne Begeman
Definition of Decompose

To separate into parts or
elements into smaller
compounds.
Decompose:



In my own words decompose is breaking
down.
The way to decompose a number is simply just
to simplify the number into smaller terms. Like
using addition, subtraction, multiplication
division or any operation.
Example: The number 20:
1+19, 35-15, 4x5, and 40 divided by 2. It all
depends on how you decide to break it down.
Definition of Compose

To form or put together
elements.
Compose:



In my own words compose is to just put together. Or build it.
All you have to do to compose a number is to just figure out how to solve
an equation using all operations.
Example:

2(4+7x)-5
8+ 14x- 5= 31
14x+ 3= 31
-3 -3
14x 28
14 14
X= 2
