This is a school –wide math club
emphasizing the memorization of
math facts.
• Lion Cubs- This is a first grade club focusing on
addition and subtraction math facts to 20. There
are four timed tests in this club.
• Tigers Club- This is a second grade club consisting
of four timed tests covering addition, subtraction
and multiplication facts.

This is a first grade individualized
reading and spelling program focusing
on common sight words.
• Our trained parent volunteers run this program.
• Your child’s reading and spelling levels will be recorded
each week on their homework cover sheet.
• For those who enjoy a challenge, we will learn the 400

Important Highlights:
 Please send a healthy snack for recess.
 Wear comfortable shoes on our P.E. days Mondays,
Thursdays, and every other Wednesday.
 Homework is important and make sure it’s returned on
Thursdays.
 I have duty immediately after school. I can meet with you
afterwards by a prearranged appointment.
 We will be using iPads in our classroom. I will be attending
several district mandatory meetings throughout the year.
