Project Goal
• Implement a server based Microsoft Access
database to track all parts not stocked in the
Federal Stock system.
• Storage of all parts into centrally located and
indexed storage bins within the ILMF

Specific Project Goals
• Eliminate unnecessary purchase of
duplicate parts
• Efficient use of outside parts budget
• Sharing of repair parts among technicians
• Increase delivery time of parts, through reuse and sharing
• Elimination of stockpiled parts from work
areas

Specific needs
Database will be capable of:
• Listing parts by 2 different Part Numbers
• Querying parts by nomenclature
• Querying parts by part number(s)
• Querying parts by stocking technician
• Record will contain a “Comment” and “Quantity”
field
• Users will not be able to modify any record except
for“Quantity” and “Comment” fields (for security)
