Prepare for a mini-quiz on all the uses of TENER you see on these slides, today. Use the
slides, here, to prepare. (No worries: We’ll have plenty of time to review at the start of
class, Thursday. Have questions as you study? Write them down and bring them to class.)
There may be items from previous quizzes, so keep reviewing what you’ve already learned!
Decide what town or village you are from in your Segunda vida country. You can even
go to Google Maps to look for a place you think you would like to be from. You may even be
able to get down to street level to see what your house looks like. Harvest the images you
like and save them on your computer. You’ll put them up on your blog, soon.
Google: páginas blancas + the name of your country. These are the white pages of the phone
book. See if you can identify a street you’d like to be from. (You can search on one of your
last names.)

Notice that you use an unconjugated verb (called an INFINITIVE)
after TENER QUE.
See pp. 19-20 of your textbook for a list of “action words,” or verbs.
Notice they all end in –AR, -ER, or -IR.
Memorize their meaning. Then, practice using them with TENER QUE:
