Vocab quiz on Monday - chapters 23-30 Objective I can make inferences and evaluate Stargirl's rising action as the story moves toward the climax. Warm Up: Take out a sheet of paper. Put your name in the upper right hand corner. On the title line, write Stargirl vocabulary quiz 13-22. Skip the line underneath the title line and then number 1-11. What is a noun? What are 4 types of nouns? What is a verb? What are 2 types of verbs? To be...or not to be I am cold I... You... He, she, it... We... They... So today we will split up sentences based on nouns and verbs. We will split sentences into subjects and predicates. subject predicate The subject tells whom or what the sentence is about The predicate tells what the subject is or does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdUXxdmhIsw Turn to chapter 23 (pg. 126). Read the first paragraph one sentence at a time. For each sentence, ask: What is this sentence about? (that will be your subject). Then ask: What is this subject doing or being?
