Can you say it?
Can you define it?
Can you say it in a sentence?
 On
the school bus, Leo used pencils to beat a
rhythm on the seats and windows. He
whistled tunes along with the beats and
sometimes sang words he’d made up. During
tests Leo often tapped his feet and his
fingers while filling in the answers. When
the fifth grade has music class, Leo was the
first one in the room. Sometimes when the
other students got to music class they would
find Leo touching the trumpets and the
violins, or sitting at the piano with a look of
awe on his face. Mr. Sanchez would always
Kick him out of music class.
Leo had a guitar, a harmonica, a drum, and a
flute at home. He took piano lessons at his
grandmother’s house. Leo’s piano teacher
never had to lecture him about practicing his
scales, because he learned them all and
could play them backwards and upside down.
 Hmmm
I wonder if I can draw any
conclusions. The author doesn’t say anything
about what Leo wants to be when he grows
up. I can conclude that Leo loves music.
