Problem for Americans
Spanish has MANY reflexive verbs.
Spanish has no “get”
as in:
get up-get washed-get dressed
• Spanish has no become
as in:
become angry, become tired or sick.”
• Spanish says, “Wash self, tire self.”
We say, “STAND UP. SIT DOWN.”
says, “Raise self. Seat self.”

Its infinitive has SE hooked onto it

• Reflexive uses article, not possessive.
I brush MY teeth. (posesivo)
