• The current coat of arms of
Morocco was introduced 14 August
1957. It shows a green pentagram
on a red background before the
Atlas Mountains and a rising sun.
The royal crown is on top. Two
lions function as the holders of the
shield. On the ribbon underneath,
the Arabic inscription is written: (If
you glorify God, he will glorify you)

with a black-bordered
green pentagram.

represents hardiness,
bravery, strength and
valour, while the
green, five-pointed
star represents the
Solomon’s seal.

• Morocco is a country located in
North Africa with a population of
nearly 32 million and an area just
under 447,000 square
kilometres .Its capital is Rabat,
and its largest city is Casablanca.
• Morocco administers most of the
disputed region of the Western
Sahara as the Southern Provinces.
The status of Western Sahara
remains unresolved.
• The main religion is Islam. The official
language is Literary Arabic. Moroccan
Arabic, Berber and French are also
spoken.
• Morocco is a constitutional monarchy
with an elected parliament. The King of
Morocco holds vast executive and
legislative powers, including the power
to dissolve the parliament. Executive
power is exercised by the government
but the king's decisions usually override
those of the government if there is a
contradiction.

Atlantic Ocean
that reaches past
the Strait of
Gibraltar into the
Mediterranean
Sea. It is
bordered by
Algeria to the
east, Spain to the
north , and
Mauritania to the
south via its
Western Saharan
territories.
Casablanca
• Casablanca is a city
in western Morocco,
located on the Atlantic
Ocean. It is the capital
of the Grand
Casablanca region.
• Casablanca is Morocco's largest city as
well as its chief port. Casablanca is
considered the economic and business
center of Morocco.The Port of
Casablanca is one of the largest artificial
ports in the world,[1] and the largest port
of North Africa.[2] It is also the primary
naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.
Moroccan style
• Moroccan style is a new trend in
decoration which takes its roots from
Moorish architecture. Its becoming
popular in some circles in UK and the
USA.
• Moroccan architecture is beautiful,
ranging from royal arches to modern
buildings lit up with neon lights at night.
