Use 1:
The simple past expresses the idea that an
action started and finished at a specific time
in the past.
Examples:
She saw a movie yesterday.
She washed her car.

The Simple past is used to show a series of
completed actions in the past. These actions
happen 1st , 2nd, 3rd, etc.

She finished work, walked to school and

which stopped in the past.
Examples:
