We need to “spell change” in certain
situations:
1. Yo Form
2. Verbs that end with CAR, GAR, or ZAR
(yo

How do we spell change?
In the ending “CAR”, the C changes to QU
1. Remove the ~AR.
2. Change the C to QU
3. Add the appropriate “yo” ending

1. Remove the ~AR.
2. Change the G to GU
3. Add the appropriate “yo” ending

1. Remove the ~AR.
2. Change the Z to C
3. Add the appropriate “yo” ending

There is one more form that spell changes…
In the él / ella form, I changes to Y in an “Isandwich” (This is not only in AR form)
1. Conjugate the verb like normal.
2. Look for an I-sandwich
3. Change the I to a Y
