Monday’s Bellwork: 8/26
It is elementary school where allegiances are formed. That’s the time
period when you decide what group you are part of. When your group
transforms into the brainy clique, the sports jocks or even the popular group
when you get to middle school, it’s just a natural progression. That’s the
reason why it is even harder for a kid like me to go to any new school at this
age. This is the type of thing that parents don’t understand when they make
decisions to uproot your entire family and move across state lines.

you determine your answer.

Answers
1. A.
2. The narrator says that allegiances are formed
before students get into middle school. He is trying
to say that students have made their friends a long
time ago. He is trying to say that it will be hard to
make friends. Another clue is that he talks
negatively about his family deciding to move.
