The Present Perfect:
Form (Has \ Have + Past Participle(
The present perfect simple tense is
used to talk about a past time, which
has very strong meaning for the present
I've worked .
Have I worked?
I haven't worked.
Yes, I have.
No, I haven't
For example:
He has lost his key.
(he lost it and still hasn’t got it)
She has gone out. She should be back in
an hour.
We form the present perfect simple by
using the auxiliary verb have/has and the ed form of the regular verb (the past
participle) irregular verb forms have to be
learned.
We CAN use the Present Perfect with
time expressions such as: ever, never,
once, many times, several times, before,
so far, already, yet, etc. We use already
in statements and yet in questions and
negative sentences.
The present perfect simple is used to discuss events
that have just been completed at the moment of
speaking.
For example:
Q) Have you done your homework yet?"
A) "Yes, I've just finished it.“’No , I haven't done it
yet.
Note - You are talking about today and today isn't
finished, so you may do your homework later!
It is often used to talk about events in the past we don’t
know or not interested in exactly when they happened
For example:
