Verbs of perception + gerunds: I saw my
friend running down the street = I saw my
friend while she was running down the
street.
Verbs of perception + the simple form: I
saw my friend run down the street.
Causative Verbs: Make + the simple form -> Mrs. Lee made her son clean his room.

Have + the simple form: I had the plumber
repair the leak.
Get + an infinitive: The students got the
teacher to dismiss class early.
Special expressions + the -ing form of a
verb: have fun + -ing, have a good time + ing, have trouble + -ing, have trouble + -ing
