Here’s the Idea:
A verb must agree
with its subject in
number.
In Number?
Number refers to
whether a word is
singular or plural.
Singular
A word that refers to
one person, place,
thing, idea, action, or
condition.
Plural
A word that refers to
more than one
person, place, thing,
idea, action, or
condition.
Watch Out!
Most nouns that end in
–s or –es are in the
plural form. However,
most verbs that end in
–s are singular.

singular verbs.
