The 5th Chinese Flexible and Printed Electronics Symposium
(FPE China) is to be held in Suzhou on 28-30 October 2015
Introduction
China started its own PE development since 2010, kick-started at the Suzhou Institute of Nanotech where the first Printable Electronics
Research Center (PERC) (http://www.perc-sinano.com/) in China was established. Though PE has been well developed in Europe, USA and
other regions of Asia, China is catching up fast. In the last 5 years, PE is getting more and more attentions in the Chinese scientific
community and industrial sectors. R&D activities in PE have seen very rapid growth across China, particularly in the areas of printing
nanomaterials for electronic and optoelectronic applications. New research centers were being setup and companies developing PE products
sprung up nationwide. Some technologies have evolved from laboratories to industries and to market place.
Past events
To facilitate the exchange of ideas and progresses in PE, the first Chinese Printed
Electronics Symposium (CPES) was held in Suzhou in 2010 and the symposium
has been held in 4 consecutive years since. In October 2014, China proudly hosted
the 5th International Conference on Flexible and Printed Electronics (ICFPE),
which was the first time that the major international conference came to China. At
the conference more than half of the conference papers and attendees were from
China, which evidently demonstrated how enthusiastic the Chinese researchers and
industrialists were to this new technology.

Electronics (ICFPE) was held in China in 2014
Symposium scope
In 2015, PE China will resume in Suzhou on 28-30 October. Considering the inseparable nature between printed electronics and flexible
electronics, the symposium will have the new name, Chinese Flexible and Printed Electronics Symposium (FPE China). The Symposium
aims to bring together the experts and professionals to present the latest research results, new development in industrial scale manufacturing
and commercialization in the areas of printable organic/inorganic electronics, flexible electronics, plastic electronics, printing technology or
other related fields. The Symposium will focus on, but not limited to, the following topics:
•
Synthesis, production and characterization of printable electronics materials
•
Processes, techniques and equipments for flexible and printed electronics
•
Solution-processing and/or printing of organic and inorganic thin film transistors
•
Solution-processing and/or printing of organic and inorganic thin film solar cells
•
Printable organic and inorganic light emitting devices
•
Printable materials and technology for Flexible display
•
Fabrication flexible and plastic sensors by printing and their applications
•
Design of flexible and printable electronic systems
•
Green manufacturing of printed circuit (PCB) boards and RFID antennas
•
Packaging and encapsulation of flexible OLED/OPV and printed electronic devices
•
Industrial scale printing of nanomaterials
Nanosilver ink
Printed touch panel film
Printed circuits on textile
Symposium location
Flexible OLED display
Printed paper batteries
Inkjet printer
Industrialization and commercialization of flexible and
printed electronics in China
The Symposium will be co-located with CHInano 2015 Conference & Expo (http://www.chinanosz.com/)in Suzhou Industrial Park. The
participants will have the benefit of one registration for a number of parallel conferences, plus access to the exhibitions of flexible and
printed electronics, nanotechnology and MEMS.
